Agnes "Olean" Wilcher

Agnes “Olean” Lane Wilcher, 90, of Mooresville, died January 21, 2013, in Frankin Meadows. She was born November 17, 1922, in Liberty, Kentucky, to the late James Franklin and Linda Elizabeth (Goode) Lane.

Mrs. Wilcher was a proud member of the Church of the First Born, Indianapolis. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowerbeds, but most of all Olean’s greatest treasure in life was her family. A very gentle and caring woman, Olean touched the lives of many by taking them in as family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl Wilcher, to whom she was united in marriage on September 25, 1943; brothers, Sam, Bobby, James, Orville, and Milford Lane; sisters, Retha Reed, Ada Wall, Louise Shelton, and Mae Coffman.

Survivors include her son, Donnie R. Wilcher of Houstonville, Kentucky; daughters, Linda L. Wilcher Danes (Bill) of Mooresville, and Lora M. Wilcher Hoffman (Mike) of Mooresville; grandchildren, Celeste Clark, Chris Wilcher (Carrie), Charady Greene (Darrin), Doug Wilcher, Ben Hunter, and Tyler Hoffman; great grandchildren, Aerial Clark, Kalib Clark, Jacob Wilcher, Deklen Greene, Breken Greene, Emma Wilcher, and Tinley Greene; many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, January 26, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8pm, on Friday, January 25, 2013. Marvin Lane will officiate the services. Burial will follow the service in the White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
