Amanda Lee “Mandy” Freeman, 57 of Martinsville, passed away during the early morning hours on Friday, February 17, 2017 at her home. She was born November 14, 1959 in LaPorte, Indiana to Burton Willis Mickelson and Mary Ann (Stoner) Mickelson.
Mandy worked as a cook at Northwood Elementary School in Mooresville for several years and at Scholar’s Inn, Bloomington. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Eagles Lodge, and American Legion all in Mooresville.
Her husband, Jesse “Gene” Freeman, Sr. preceded her in death on August 14, 2004
Survivors include her father, Burt (Karen) Mickelson of Noblesville; mother, Mary Ann Petro of Rolling Prairie, Indiana; Her loving fiancé of 8 years, J.R. Coomer of Martinsville; three sons, Jesse (Fiancé Skylar Bowman) Freeman of Indianapolis, Ryan Main of Delray Beach, Florida, Randy (Dyana Gray) Main of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; two daughters, Michelle (Matt) Ruhnow of Fishers, and Sarah (Steven) Goode of Martinsville; two sisters, Kim (Fiancé, Al) Mickelson of New Carlisle, Indiana, and Annie (Eddie) Prentkowski of Niles, Michigan; nine grandchildren and one grandchild on the way.
