Amy Jo (Mason) Greene, 42, Brooklyn, passed away suddenly September 5, 2016. Amy was born August 19, 1974, in Martinsville, to the late Charles William Mason and Dianne (Powell) Mason, who survives.
Amy graduated from Martinsville High School in 1992. She worked for the Morgan County Plan Commission for several years. More recently, she has been a substitute teacher in various Mooresville schools. Above all, Amy enjoyed being a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. She was a member of Crossroads Church in Mooresville. Having overcome a drug addiction over ten years ago, Amy was energetic and full of life. She will be missed by a loving family and many friends.
Survivors include her husband of 23 years, Jason W. Greene; children, Hannah Dianne Greene and Ethan Wayne Greene; mother, Dianne (Powell) Mason of Martinsville; sisters, Shannon Bennington and Lisa Pottorff of Martinsville; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends and family will gather from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2016, in Crossroads Church, 210 Wheeler Street, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 1p.m., Friday, September 9, 2016, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Burial will be in Centerton Cemetery.
