Anna G. Bailey

Anna G. (King) Bailey, 81 of Mooresville passed away July 18, 2016 at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis. She was born March 25, 1935 in Liberty, KY to the late Chester and Dillie Mae (Brown) King. On September 19, 1953 Anna was united in marriage to her loving husband, Cecil G. Bailey; he preceded her in death in 1999.

Anna was a 1953 graduate of Mooresville and as a mother of seven, worked as a loving and nurturing homemaker for most of her life. She was a faithful member of Brooklyn Church of God. A very competitive person, Anna loved to play card games, crossword puzzles and enjoyed reading. She also liked angels and butterflies. An accomplished cook, she especially enjoyed cooking for her family around holidays.

She was also preceded in death by her brother, Sylvan R. King; a grandson, Michael J. Bailey; and a great grandson, Ethan Bailey.

Survivors include her seven children, Joseph D. (Phyllis) Bailey of Mesa, Arizona, James E. (Patricia O.) Bailey of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Julia A. Bailey of Cuba, Missouri, John W. (Milagros) Bailey of Peoria, Arizona, Jeffrey A. (Sherry) Bailey of Martinsville, Jerry R. (Deborah) Bailey of Plainfield and Jay G. (Tina) Bailey of Martinsville; one brother, Deward King of Mooresville; 26 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Family and friends will gather from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2016 in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 22 at Brooklyn Church of God, 8606 N. Country Club Road, Mooresville. Additional calling will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Burial will follow at White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
