Annalee (Stackhouse) Conrad

On September 18, 2016, Annalee (Stackhouse) Conrad, 86, arrived in Beulah Land, where she will live forever in that perfect home with her Savior, husband, mother, family, and friends.

On June 3, 1930, she came as the fifth child of Opal (Ragsdale) Stackhouse and Floyd Stackhouse of Orange County. Preceding her homecoming were her parents, and siblings, Richard, Eugene, Rex Stackhouse and Milicent (Stackhouse) Flick Ash. She was married to Delbert Conrad for 61 years, who died July 30, 2013.

She had worked for the French Lick Sheraton Hotel and Hooks Drugs early on. She later worked as a bookkeeper for Eli Lilly and at Dobb’s House at the Indianapolis Airport.

Annalee loved her family dearly. She sacrificed her time and talents for them in many ways too innumerable to count.

Surviving are her daughters, Delann Conrad of Indianapolis and Cathy (Conrad) Van Hal and her husband John of Mooresville; four grandchildren, Joshua Van Hal and his wife Laurie of Denver Colorado, Leslie (Van Hal) Scott and her husband Eric of Indianapolis, Desiree’ (Cooper) Lawver and her husband Ian of Mooresville, and Derek Cooper of Indianapolis; five great grandchildren, Zoie Lawver, Sydney Scott, Nikolaus Scott, Ava Scott, and Sadie Scott.

A memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 22, 2016, in Good Shepherd Baptist Church, 1150 East State Road 144, with visitation there from 10 a.m. Pastor Brandon Sichting will officiate.
