Anthony “Tony” Daugherty, age 62, of Avon, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015. Born November 24, 1952 in Pennington Gap, VA, he was the son of Gene and Jeannie (Pleasant) Daugherty. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Tony retired in 2001 from Teamsters 135 where he drove a truck for Airborne Express for 31 years. He was a member of Life Line Baptist Church in Camby and a US Army veteran. He loved motorcycles, cars, trucks, and guns. Also, he was an avid knife collector.
Survivors include his wife, Laura (Crea) Daugherty, whom he married on April 5, 1974; his sons, Scott (Lisa) Daugherty and Matthew (Tashia) Daugherty; his daughters, Michelle (Jim) Sechman and Staci Young; his sisters, Sharon (Randall) Dean and Shelia Broadhuhn; his father, Gene Daugherty; and his nine grandchildren: Grant, Mikayla, Gracelyn, Madison, Holly, Aubrey, Hannah, Ava and Cole.
Funeral services will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Life Line Baptist Church, 13387 N. Slideoff Road, Camby, with calling there from 11:00 a.m. You may visit www.CarlisleBranson.com where you may share a memory with the family or sign the online guest book.
