Barbara J. Glass

Barbara Jean Glass, 73 of Mooresville, passed away September 15, 2015 at the Franklin United Methodist Home. She was born April 10, 1942 in Indianapolis to the late Robert and Amanda (McCoy) Netherton. Barbara was united in marriage to her loving husband, Stanley Ray Glass on August 28, 1965; he preceded her in death.

A loving and devoted wife and mother, Barbara enjoyed her duties as a homemaker including her favorites; yard work, cleaning and cooking. Most of all, she was proud to be a Southern Baptist, devoting her life to her God and her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Tracie Glass of Mooresville; two sisters, Mary Tunison of Greenfield, and Judy Fraizer of Georgia; five brothers, Jack Netherton of Arizona, Ted Netherton of Batesville, Tom Netherton of Indianapolis, Jim Netherton of West Lafayett and John Netherton of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Abby Brock and Matthew Kennedy; a great granddaughter, Harmony Ray Hoover and a special member of the family, Robin Kennedy. Barbara was also preceded in death by her son, Mark Glass; brother, Robert “Bob” Netherton, and a sister, Joan Slipher.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Tuesday, September 22 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. A funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
