Barnie Lee Nuckels, 41, Brooklyn, passed away November 18, 2023. Lee was born September 10, 1982, in Indianapolis, to the late Barnie Wayne and Kimberly (Spann) Nuckels, who survives. Lee recently married Hope (Burgess) Nuckels, and she also survives.
Lee attended Martinsville High School and later earned his GED. He most recently worked for Morgan’s Corner Café as a dishwasher and also the cook for the famed Friday night catfish dinners. Lee enjoyed collecting, listening to music, and spending time with his family. He had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. Lee was a devoted son who loved his mother immensely and was very loyal to his sons. His memory will be cherished by his loving family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jesse Nuckels.
Survivors include his wife, Hope; his mother, Kim; sons, Jesse and Ezra Nuckels, Andrew Stogsdill and Jay Strole; brother, Jaden Nuckels; maternal grandparents, William and Diana Spann.
Lee’s Life Celebration® Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 39 E. High Street, Mooresville. Visitation will be Monday, November 27, 2023, 5 to 8 p.m., with services beginning at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
