Bernice “Bea” G. Landon, 89, Mooresville, passed away on March 18, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 26, 1924, in South Bend, to the late Harry and Effie A. (Slaybaugh) Ginther.
Bea was a devoted mother to her children, who always put her family first. She was a very witty person who enjoyed engaging in a conversation. She was a faithful member of the Mooresville United Methodist Church and the Mooresville Order of the Easter Star #260. A true garage sale queen, Bea could often be seen around town with her friend, Helen Heaton attending various garage and yard sales.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Verl, Richard, Robert, and Alton Ginther; sisters, Delores Fore and Patti Ann Denny.
Survivors include her loving husband, Richard E. Landon, to whom she was united in marriage on November 23, 1943; son, Dr. Charles R. Landon (Carolyn) of Greenwood; daughter, Nancy E. Trusty (Mark) of Mooresville; brother, Harry Ginther, Jr. of Rochester; grandchildren, Angela Lucas and Jason Landon; great grandchildren, Mariah, Destinee, Tylor, and Rick; one great great grandchild, Kaiden.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 21, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the Mooresville Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Payton will officiate the services. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Hospice.
