Betty L. Butler, 81, Mooresville, died June 17, 2012. She was born October 11, 1930, in Topeka, Kansas to Charlie and Teretie (Hall) White.
Betty was a very active member of the Mooresville Church of God. She enjoyed scrapbooking, camping, and traveling. She had a love for birds and was an avid player of an assortment of table games. Betty always had a big heart and loved her family and friends very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Teretie White; brother, Roy White; sister, Hazel Hawkins.
Survivors include sons, Daniel Butler of Franklin, Mark Gilmore of Mooresville; daughters, Lyndy (David) Sparkman of Kentucky, Judi Walker of Franklin; grandchildren, Aaron, Christopher, Kelli, Lynn, Kimberli; great grandchildren, Ruthie, Abigail, Zakary, Aliah, and Deliah.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Mooresville Church of God, Pastor John Crump will officiate the service. Burial will follow in White Lick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideons International Memorial Bible Program, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
