Betty L. Owens

Betty L. Owens, 83, of Rushville, IN passed away February 8th at Millers Merry Manor in Rushville.

Betty was born August 21, 1928 in Morgan County, IN to late Charles H. and Laura (Cecil) Beck. She graduated from Rushville High School in 1946. She married to Robert E. Owens on October 11, 1947, and he preceded her in death August 12, 2003. In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by two infant sons, Robert A. & Paul L. Owens.

Left to cherish Betty’s memory are three children, Mike (Jean) Owens and Tom (Christy) Owens of Rushville, and Polly (Jerry) Raike of Seale, AL. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

She was a member of St. Mary Church. In addition to being a fulltime homemaker, she spent time as a Scout Leader for Girl and Boy Scouts.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Monday February 13th at St. Mary Church with Rev. Jeremy M. Gries officiating. Burial will follow at Rushville’s Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-6 PM on Sunday February 12th at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory. A rosary will be prayed for Betty at 1:45 PM prior to visitation.
