Betty Marie Wrightsman, 88, long time Mooresville resident, passed from this life on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at The Springs of Mooresville. Her earthly journey began on November 10, 1934 in Deputy, Indiana. She was born to the late Raymond Ritzline and Vera (Warner) Ritzline Lichlyter. She married the love of her life, Jack Eugene Wrightsman, on June 3, 1964. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2018.
Betty graduated from Deputy High School in Deputy, Indiana. After high school, she moved to Indianapolis and started working for Indiana National Bank. After taking an early retirement from the bank, she joined her husband in running their business. They operated the local Crystyal Flash in Mooresville. They sold their business and retired in 1999.
She loved to work crossword puzzles and enjoyed bowling. Possessing an excellent work ethic, she loved to work and continued to work even in retirement. She also enjoyed her time as treasurer of her homeowner’s association. Above all, she loved to spend time with her husband and the rest of her family.
Betty leaves behind her host of loving family and friends including her sons, Jack (wife, Gloria) Wrightsman of Mooresville and David (wife, Susan) Wrightsman of Scottsville, Kentucky; daughters, Peggy Wrightsman of Lebanon and Michelle (husband, Roy) Wagner of New Palestine; siblings, Wilma Jean Walton of Lebanon, Donald Earl (wife, Gladys) Ritzline of Columbus, Marvin Kenneth (wife, Janet) Ritzline of Columbus, and Ruth Ann (husband, Harold “JR”) Yancey of Madison; grandchildren, Terry Palmer, Cathy (husband, Timmy) Taylor, Dotty (husband, Jonny) Moore, Dawn (husband, Brendan) Broadstreet, Jennifer Lopez, Tyler Partlow, and Tyra Partlow (Nathan Wilson); great grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, McKynse, Austyn, Aaliyah, Jacklynn, Anthony, and Adelina; and great great grandchild, Deven.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Life Celebration® Home in Mooresville. Betty’s Life Celebration® Service will immediately follow, beginning at 2:00 pm. Following the service, she will be laid to rest alongside her late husband in White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
