Billie Irene Gentry

Billie Irene Gentry, 88, of Mooresville, died on Friday, October 11, 2024 at Meadow Lakes in Mooresville. She was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on March 14, 1936 to the late John B. Murley and Bessie May (Smith) Murley.

She graduated from Eastern Hancock High School in Charlottesville, Indiana with the class of 1955. She worked at RCA on the assembly line. 

Billie married James Edward Gentry on November 22, 1957. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2011. Billie and James enjoyed traveling together. Aside from traveling, Billie also enjoyed doing whatever her husband was doing. They were inseparable and the family finds comfort that they are now reunited once again. 

She is survived by her sister, Sammie Turner of Greenwood and several nieces and nephews. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Bessie; husband, James Gentry; brother, William Murley; and sister, Sandra Burke. 

There will be no public services. Billie will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville. Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory has been entrusted with the arrangements.
