Bonnie L. Pierce, 84, of Clayton, passed away on May 3, 2024, in Fillmore. She was born in Indianapolis on March 23, 1940, to the late Louis and Iva (Newlan) Tracy. Bonnie married George Pierce on July 8, 1961, and he preceded her in death in 2012. 

Bonnie was an excellent wife, homemaker, and mother. She had a talent for decorating and painting. Bonnie was a wonderful cook and enjoyed gardening and canning. She was always adventurous and loved family vacations and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Most importantly, Bonnie had a strong faith in God.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, George Pierce; son, Mike Pierce; brothers, Tom Tracy and Bert Tracy; sisters, Elfrida Cooney, Shirley Rouse, and Mary Martha Tracy. 

Survivors include her sons, Tony (Michelle) Pierce of Martinsville, David Pierce of Clayton; daughters, Kim (David) McKinney of Fillmore, Teresa (Terry) Richey of Martinsville; brother, Bill Tracy of Greenwood; daughter-in-law, Kari Pierce of Amo; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. 

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bonnie’s life on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with services beginning at 1:00 pm in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. Burial will take place at White Lick Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Feed the Children.
