Brenda Sue Padgett
69, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 11, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. Brenda was born on November 10, 1951 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Vertie L. (Willis) and Willie Junior Spears.

Brenda grew up on the Southwest side of Indianapolis, graduating from Decatur Central High School in 1970. Brenda went on to attend Beauty School and became a licensed beautician. She then worked at G.M. Truck and Bus for about 9 years. She was a long-time member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting blankets, playing Suduko, puzzles and shopping.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son David L. Padgett, II; sister Patty Spears and brother Willie J. Spears.

She is survived by her husband David L. Padgett; son Matthew C. Padgett (Jody); siblings Leonard Spears, Jessie Spears; grandchildren Danny Finch, Travis Padgett, Samantha Padgett; great grandchildren Weston, Emma, Brantley, Connor and Carter.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Brenda’s life on Tuesday, August 17th from 4- 8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin Wednesday, August 18th at 10:00am in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in West Newton Cemetery.
