Carlene Jo Wiese

Carlene Jo Wiese, 83, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2018. Carlene was born April 6, 1934, in Vinita, Oklahoma, to the late Carl Oscar and Marguerite Jo (Parks) Newland.

Carlene graduated from Southern Methodist University, and earned her law degree from The George Washington University. After graduating law school she ran a private law practice for about 20 years. Ms. Wiese was interested in genealogy, traveling, and American history. She was also a member of Cherokee Nation. She is going to be greatly missed by her loving family.

In addition to her parents, Carlene was also preceded in death by her son, James Bailey Wiese.

Survivors include her son, Carl Joseph Wiese of Camby, IN; her daughter Marguerite Jo Wiese, son-in-law Jesus Salinas, and grandson James Leonardo Salinas of Fairfax, VA; and her sister, Janet Gay Campbell of Oklahoma City, OK.

The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018, in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 11 a.m. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery.
