Carol Sue “Georgia” Handy, 58, Indianapolis, died suddenly August 7, 2013. Mrs. Handy was born November 2, 1954, in Indianapolis.
A 1973 graduate of Northwest High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Robbin L. Handy on July 20, 1973. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter who was the ultimate caregiver. She always put others before herself. She was an excellent cook and also enjoyed sewing. Carol will be missed by her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Robert Evans.
Survivors include her husband, Robbin L. Handy; mother, Donna Lee (Hall) Evans of Indianapolis; sons, Robbin W. Handy, Nicholas A. Handy, Michael J. Handy, and Alexander D. March, all of Indianapolis; brothers, Gary Robert Evans of Florida, William David Evans of North Carolina and Dale Baker of Indianapolis; sisters, Marlene Evans White of Indianapolis, Connie Evans Goodlander of Danville, and Julie Evans Jones of New Palestine; grandchildren, Nathan, Dominick, Damian, and Savannah Handy; Ethan and Owen Handy.
The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 13, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, August 12, 2013.
