Carole E. Hochstetler

August 17, 1928 — December 14, 2014

Carole Elaine Hochstetler, 86, Mooresville, died December 14, 2014, in Meadow Lakes. Carole was born August 17, 1928, in Coal City, to the late Lloyd Merritt and Mary Etta (Hubbell) Padgett.

Carole was a graduate of Indiana University and enjoyed a teaching career that spanned 23 years. She taught in Brownstown, Worthington, Elkhart, Hancock Central, Beech Grove, and in Mooresville. Carole was a member of Plainfield Christian Church, the Likely Literary Club, Bible Study Fellowship, and the Retired Teachers Association.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Lee Hochstetler; brothers, Ivan and Willard Padgett; sisters, Marcella Jones, Wilma Graber, and Louise Frump.

Survivors include her sons, Vince A. Hochstetler (Debbie) of Indianapolis and Eric L. Hochstetler (Cheryl) of Plainfield; one grandson, Dustin Hochstetler.

Services will begin at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 17, 2014, in the Plainfield Christian Church, 800 N. Dan Jones Road, Plainfield. Friends may call there from 10 a.m., until service time. Burial will follow in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
