Carolyn H. Mills

Carolyn H. Mills, 82, Mooresville, passed away after a brief illness on October 22, 2019. Carolyn was born July 18, 1937, in Neese, South Carolina, to the late J.B. and Ruth (Phillips) Hutto.

She graduated from Norway High School in Norway, South Carolina. Carolyn was a member of Abounding Grace Worship Center. A lover of all animals, Carolyn cared for all kinds of animals in her lifetime – wild or tame, she always had a fondness for animals. She will be fondly remembered by a loving family and many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Michael “Mickey” Hutto and a grandson, Jonathan Patrick McGagh.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Fred Mills; daughters, Ruth (Terry) Hardan of Mooresville and Laine (John) Bailey of Mooresville; sisters, Frances Joiner of Brownsburg and Essie McCollum of Mooresville; grandchildren, Katie Egenolf, Max Bailey, Tanner Bailey, and Patric Bailey; great grandchildren, Jack, Jace, Finley, and Quinn.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate Carolyn’s life on Saturday, October 26, 2019, 11 am to 1 pm at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morgan County Humane Society.
