Carolyn Sue Perry

Carolyn Sue (Mitchell) Perry, 85, Mooresville, passed away March 1, 2019. Mrs. Perry was born November 24, 1933, in Bloomington, to the late William Mitchell and Minnie (Hunter) Murray. A loving wife, she was married to the late Lloyd Arthur Perry for 61 years, prior to his death in 2012.

She was a proud homemaker, wonderful mother, and loving grandmother. She was a former member of Valley Mills Christian Church and more recently a member of Mt. Gilead Church. Mrs. Perry was an accomplished seamstress and was also quite active with the Miniatures Club. She will be fondly remembered for her kind, gentle, and selfless nature.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie Mitchell.

Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Tipmore (the late Steve) of Greenville, South Carolina, and Rhonda Van der Dussen (the late Kurt) of Bloomington; four grandchildren, Steven, Brendee, Dalen, and Karlyn; seven great grandchildren; brother, John “Buzz” Mitchell of Solsberry; sisters, Linda Harris (Bob) of Bloomington and Mary Ann Staggs (Mac) of South Carolina.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, 12 – 2 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
