Charles R. Berwick
83 of Mooresville, passed away on July 26, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his family. Charles was born on September 4, 1938, in Bedford, Indiana to the late Charles S. Berwick and Ennis (Jackson) Berwick.
Charles proudly and honorably served in the U. S. Army. Although he was an electrician by trade, Charles continued to serve his community as a trooper with the Indiana State Police for 10 years, before retiring from the police to help his Dad with the family business, Berwick Electric. After retiring and selling the family business, he moved to Florida where he and his first wife, Nancy owned a Christian Bookstore for many years. He then moved to Memphis, Tennessee, where he worked for Fed Ex and returned to Indiana in 1996 to work at the Indy Fed Ex hub until 2003. He and his wife Beverly were members of the Faith Baptist Church in Danville. In his spare time, he enjoyed being with family, especially his grandkids, traveling to see lighthouses around America and playing golf every chance, he could. He will be remembered for his strong family values and his service to his country and community.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Berwick, and a granddaughter Victoria McDaniel.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Brown) Berwick; children Kenny (Vickie) Berwick, David (Dawn) Berwick, Becky Ransdell, Katherine Ransdell, Nathan (Jen) Ransdell; brother Michael (Kathy) Berwick; sister Nancy (Bob) Coop; grandchildren Jennifer (Heath) Merrifield, William Berwick, Evan Berwick, Janae (Lucas) McBroom; great grandchildren Kenny (Kaitlyn) Rike, Melanie (Jeremy) Rike, Bella Merrifield, Kacey Merrifield, William Berwick, Jr., Gwyn Berwick, Grace Berwick, and Colton James Carter.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate Charles’ life on Friday, July 29th from 4-8pm at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 30th at 10am in the funeral home. Burial will follow the services in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
