Chester “Chet” Musson, 79, of Monrovia, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at The Waters of Martinsville. Born in Effingham, Illinois on February 22, 1938, Chet was the son of the late Chester R. and Minnie Musson. On January 11, 1958 he was united in marriage to Marie Musson and she survives.
Chet proudly served his country as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He worked as a tool and die maker for 18 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of the American Legion Post #103 in Mooresville and the Non Commissioned Officer Association (N.C.O.A.).
Chet was also preceded in death by 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Marie; three sons, Charles (Darla) Musson of Elgin, Illinois, Daniel (Lori Miller) Musson of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Douglas (Rochelle) Musson of Clayton, Indiana; two daughters, LaVonne (Steve Sanders) Musson of Hazelwood, Indiana, and Deborah (David) Ogles of Monrovia; his twin brother, Lester (Juanita) Musson of Shelbyville, Illinois; 13 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
In honor of Chet’s dedicated service to the United States Air Force, members of the American Post #103, V.F.W. Post #1111 both of Mooresville, and the United States Air Force will conduct a graveside service on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall.
