Clyde William Thompson, 80, of Camby, passed away the morning of June 2, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Clyde was born January 13, 1935 in Ticonderoga, NY to the late Carroll J. and Ada M. (Sharpe) Thompson.
On June 24, 1961 Clyde was married to his loving wife, Barbara F. (Tracey) Thompson; she survives. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was discharged in 1958. For many years Clyde worked at International Paper Company in Ticonderoga, retiring in 1995.
After living in the Ft. Myers, Florida area for many years, Clyde and Barbara moved to Indiana to live with their son and his family; they attend Gracepoint Church in Whiteland.
Other survivors include his two sons, William Gordon (Sherri) Thompson of Camby and Brian Carroll (Marisol) Thompson of San Juan, Puerto Rico; and two grandchildren, Hunter and Mikayla.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13 at Gracepoint Church, 330 W. Whiteland Rd, New Whiteland, Indiana 46184. Final care and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville.
