Cory Adam Alford, 45, Martinsville, passed away unexpectedly November 16, 2021. Cory was born November 12, 1976, in Danville, to Anthony P. and Susan (Bush) Alford, who survive.
Cory attended Mooresville Elementary Schools and Martinsville High School. Cory held various jobs, most recently painting and doing body work on cars. He worked for a period of time with his mom, painting and hanging wallpaper. Cory also worked in the produce department at the IGA in Ellettsville. While the produce was not his favorite thing, Cory’s ability to connect with customers was something he excelled at naturally. Cory was a people person – he could walk into a room full of strangers and leave with a room full of friends. He was a natural and easy conversationalist, never judgmental, warm and always kind and generous. Cory loved music especially rock & roll and was an avid Miami Hurricanes fan. Cory will be fondly remembered by a loving family and many friends for his kind and gentle manner.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Ira and Nancy Bush; paternal grandparents, Albert and Ella Alford; aunts, Linda Carson and Nancy Scaggs; uncles Jerry Alford and Curt Atwood.
Survivors include his loving parents, Tony & Sue Alford; aunts and uncles, Rick Carson, Dave (Mitzi) Bush, Dawn (Keith) Brown, Rusty (Pam) Bush, Roger Scaggs, Faye Alford, Judy Atwood, Kay (Bill) Angel, and Al (Eileen) Alford.
