Darshan Singh Mand, 65, of Brownsburg, passed away on October 9, 2024, at IU Health West Hospital. He was born in Ludhiana, India on January 6, 1959, to the late Kartar Singh and Gurdev Kaur. Darshan graduated high school in India and later obtained citizenship in the United States. He worked as a manager at a gas station in New Jersey for several years before moving to Indiana.
Darshan enjoyed cars, comedy and cultural movies, and old Bollywood music. He loved shopping and took pride in his appearance. Darshan was a family-oriented man who loved his village in India and kept his family close. His humor and compassion will be dearly missed.
Darshan is survived by his wife whom he married on January 16, 1980, Jasmeet Kaur Mand; son, Bhupinder Singh (Kirandeep Kaur); daughters, Jaswinder Kaur Mann (Sukhwinder Mann), Maninder Kaur Sandhu (Sikander Sandhu), and Navneet Kaur Grewal (Rajwinder Grewal); sisters, Paramjit Kaur Gill (Harbhajan Gill) and Daljit Kaur Gurm (Harwinder Gurm); grandchildren, Gurvyn, Jayvyn, Sabrina, Sahib, Muskan, Simran, Upkar, Japji, Jaideep, Yuvraj, Gursehaj, Ishkeen, Inayat, and Arman.
In addition to his parents, Darshan is preceded in death by a sister, Karamjeet Kaur.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 13th, 2024, from 12 Noon to 1:00 pm at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Prayers will begin at 1:00 pm, with cremation to follow.
