David Alan Bailey

David Alan Bailey, 66, of Martinsville, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at his home.  David was born on June 28, 1957 in Indianapolis to Edith C. (Shaw) Bailey and the late Herman David Bailey.

He graduated from Decatur Central with the class of 1975.  David was working at TMC Trucking in Brownsburg as the fleet service manager.  He was a member of ABATE and a life member of the American Motorcycle Association.  Incredibly mechanically inclined, David enjoyed rebuilding and restoring damaged motorcycles and cars.  Additionally, he enjoyed deer hunting.

David will be missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends including his mother, Edith Bailey of Camby; sister, Donna (husband, Jeff) Stinson of Monrovia; and nephews, Justin (wife, Angie) Stinson of Columbia City, IN and Kirk Stinson of Las Vegas, NV.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herman David Bailey and brother, Darin Lee Bailey.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, January 13^th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am in the chapel at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service and Crematory in Mooresville.  David’s Life Celebration® Service will immediately follow, beginning at 11:00 am at the funeral home.  In keeping with his wishes, his earthly remains have been cremated.
