David F. Day, 71, Camby, died March 23, 2013, in the Waters at Martinsville. Mr. Day was born July 19, 1941, in Indianapolis, to the late Roy and Ethel Day.
He attended Mooresville High School and proudly served in the United States Army. Mr. Day worked as a laborer and mechanic for Catellier Salvage and Wrecking for many years. He also had been a self-employed truck driver. He attended Waverly Baptist Church and enjoyed visiting with friends at the Mooresville Eagles Lodge. He was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Alfred, John, Vic, Edna, Pat, and Sally.
Survivors include a son, David Day of Florida; daughters, Paula Day of Florida and Sonja Thackett of Missouri; brother, Albert Day of Mooresville; several grandchildren.
Pastor David Ball will officiate the 12 Noon funeral service on Friday, March 29, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery.
