David L. Mason

David L. Mason, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 surrounded by family. He was born on August 21, 1944 in Martinsville to the late Hubert and Alice Mason.
He is also preceded in death by his brother, Russell Mason and his sister, Wanda West.
He married the love of his life Judy Webb Mason on December 28, 1963. He retired from GM after 40 years where he worked as a tool and die maker and foreman. David was a lifelong member of Community Christ Church and was a captain of the Brooklyn Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He will be missed by many who knew him.
Surviving are his wife of over 49 years, Judy Ann Webb Mason; his three children, Teresa Mason Terrell of Martinsville, Michael David Mason ( Teresa) of Sellersburg, and Tammy Mason- Martinez ( Pete) of Phoenix AZ along with his 7 grandchildren; his seven siblings, Barbara Hunt, Pauline Sturgeon, Mary Arnold, Carrie Spurgeon, Danny Joe Mason, Charles Mason and Earl Mason, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will receive friends at Carlisle -Branson Funeral Service and Crematory from 2PM until 6PM on Sunday. Graveside services will be held at Centerton Cemetery on Monday at 11AM.
