David Lee Lambert, 74, longtime Mooresville resident, passed away May 11, 2023, following a cardiac event after surgery. David was born February 8, 1949, in Indianapolis, to the late Elsie Mae (Totman) Lambert and John Russell Lambert, who survives. He married Sandy Perry on August 3, 1974, and she also survives.
David graduated from Mooresville High School in 1967 and continued his education to become a radiological technologist. He was the owner and operator of Lambert & Associates for more than 35 years. David was a faithful member and served in various leadership roles at Grace Church for many years. Most recently, he was a member of Mt. Gilead Church. Simply put, David’s greatest hobby was people, and as his family put it, he was a “friend of strangers”. He took great joy in helping people and easing the burdens of others. His capable ability to fix just about anything came in handy on a regular basis. Above all, David was a strong family man and a faithful Christian who will be fondly remembered by his loving family and many friends.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Russell Lambert, II.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Sandy; his children, Ryan (Carrie) Lambert and Adria Lambert; one granddaughter, Maggie Lambert; siblings, Drucilla VanAvermaete, Robert (Marti) Lambert, Teresa (Michael) Bannon, and Michele (Rob) Stokes.
