David R. Beeler 'Pawpaw', 70, Mooresville, died November 9, 2013, while traveling in Sevierville, Tennessee. Mr. Beeler was born November 11, 1942, in Hustonville, Kentucky, to the late Waitmon and Alma (Reed) Beeler.
He graduated from Liberty (KY) High School. A master cabinet maker, Mr. Beeler had been employed for 32 years at Spivey Construction. He was a member of Five Points Baptist Church and was passionate about woodworking. He also loved to spend time with his family, especially the grandchildren. He and his wife were proud to have visited their 50th state just last year.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Cochran.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Virginia (Kennedy) Beeler; children, William E. Beeler of Kentucky, Jeffrey W. Beeler of North Carolina, Jennifer Rumsey of Wyoming, Stephen M. Beeler of Terre Haute, and Sarah Grout of Missouri; siblings, Joseph, James, Jacob, Virginia, Elizabeth, and Alice; 18 grandchildren.
Pastor Bill Gott will officiate the 1 p.m. funeral service on Thursday, November 14, 2013, in the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 13, 2013. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Baptist Association.
