Debra A. Craig

Debra A. Craig, 69, of Mooresville, passed away at Life’s Journey Hospice in Avon, Indiana on September 10, 2021 after a courageous battle with her health. Debra was born on November 7, 1951, in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Donald and Elizabeth (Collins) Kern. On August 15, 1970 in Avon, Indiana, Debra was united in holy matrimony to her husband, William Craig, who survives.

Debra was a graduate of Avon High School in the class of 1970. The consummate homemaker, wife, and mother, Debra was heavily involved in Morgan County 4-H with their Home Economics and Foods projects, serving as superintendent for both. She was an incredible cook, most famous for her carrot cake and Pa’s pie.

Debra’s love for children and compassion for others led her to serve on the Board of Directors for Morgan County Right to Life. Her love for babies and motherhood was reflected through her passionate support of the La Leche League of Hendricks County, a program that assists new mothers in their breastfeeding journeys. Debra will be remembered for her devotion to those whom she loved and generous spirit; she will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, William Craig, and her daughter, Elizabeth Craig.
