Dennis "Denny" Dodson

Dennis “Denny” Dodson, 75, of Martinsville, passed away March 21, 2021 at Franciscan Health, Indianapolis. Denny was born August 7, 1945 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Lemuel and Anna (Hartlof) Dodson.

Denny was a member of Community of Christ, Centerton. Denny married the love of his life, Martha “Marty” Wert on October 11, 1968. He was well known for tuning his radio into 104.5 FM for his favorite radio station and turning it up as loud as he could. Denny enjoyed hours rocking away in his rocking chair while enjoying the beauty of nature around him. He also enjoyed reading up on Hollywood gossip in People magazine. Denny loved watching a good horror movie on the sci-fi channel. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.

In addition to his parents, Denny was proceeded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Arnold Dodson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 52 years, Marty Dodson; children, Tracy (Gary) White, and Wayne (Kelly) Dodson; grandchildren, Anthony (Sadie) White, Anna (Gage) Leitzman, and Kadie Dodson; great grandchildren, Tinsley and Oakleigh Leitzman.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Denny on Friday, March 26, 2021, 5 to 7 p.m., at the River Valley Christian Church: 4295 Egbert Rd, Martinsville, IN 46151; memorial service will begin at 7:00 p.m. While flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be made to the Morgan County Humane Society.
