Don K. Zimmerman

Donald Keith Zimmerman, 71, of Mooresville, passed away suddenly March 29, 2019. Donald was born July 3, 1947, in Greencastle, Indiana to the late Red and Ruth Zimmerman.

Don proudly served in the United States Army as a Sergeant during the Vietnam War. Donald was a smart, intelligent man and was known as the “MacGyver” of the family. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 1111 and the American Legion Post 103. He enjoyed watching sports and M*A*S*H, restoring cars, but most of all spending time with his family. His kind loving spirit will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Chad Fishero; siblings, Johnny Zimmerman, Frankie Zimmerman, and Barbara Dudley; and a grandson, Matthew Fishero.

Donald is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Nila Zimmerman of Mooresville; a son, Brady (Christina) Zimmerman of Lexington, Kentucky; a daughter, Talisa Ann Ballard of Winchester, Kentucky; a brother, Ronnie Zimmerman of Milton, Indiana; two sisters, Patty Collins and Joyce McDonald of Greencastle, Indiana; grandchildren, Jessica, Madison Ann, Ashley, Madison Abigail, Macy, Luke, Mallary, and Reygan; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019, 1 p.m. at New Life Community Wesleyan Church: 4356 East State Rd 144, Mooresville, IN 46158.
