Donald Delcia “Rainbow the Clown” Trusty, 74, lifelong Morgan County resident, died peacefully at home on October 2, 2011. Don was born November 27, 1936, to the late William and Opal (Bryant) Trusty.
Don worked for 32 years as a journeyman at Rough Notes in Indianapolis. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and the Silver Wheels Motorcycle Club. An avid outdoorsman, Don loved to hunt and fish, especially at Bradford Woods. His volunteer work there led to a post retirement job for several years also. Don enjoyed being Rainbow the Clown for more than 20 years during the Old Settlers Festival each year. He will be missed by his loving family and many friends.
He was preceded in death by six siblings.
Survivors include wife, Donna (Stucki) Trusty, to whom he was united in marriage February 15, 1958; children, Donald Trusty, Jr. of Mooresville, Debby Jo Perry of Wilbur, Doug Trusty of Jasonville; sisters, Betty Lott of Martinsville and Reva Howard of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
Friends and family will gather on Wednesday, October 5, 2011, 4 to 8 p.m., at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011, 10 a.m., in Centenary United Methodist Church, 6061 E. Centenary Road, Mooresville. Burial will be in Centenary Church Cemetery.
