Donald C. Purvis, 55, Mooresville, passed away July 14, 2016. Don was born April 5, 1961, in Indianapolis to the late John A. Purvis and Sue Ann (Pickerel) Purvis, who survives.
Don graduated from Cascade High School and attended Indiana University. For more than 15 years, he worked at Eli Lilly & Company as a Senior Specialist in Quality Control. Don was a member of Life Line Baptist Church in Camby. A jack of all trades, he could fix anything and was never afraid of starting a project. FAMILY was most important to Don. He was happiest when he was around his children, grandchildren, and extended family. One of his new favorite pastimes was being with his grandchildren who he simply adored. He enjoyed family gatherings, holidays, and just everyday visits with family and friends. Don will be missed by a loving family and many friends.
Survivors include his children, John R. Purvis of Mooresville, Amanda M. Smith (Jared) of Mooresville, and Amber G. Purvis (Jeremy) of Mooresville; mother, Sue Ann Purvis of Clayton; brother, Michael Purvis (Cassandra) of Clayton; sister, Brenda Griffith (Michael) of Clayton; grandchildren, Rowan and Cainan Smith; multiple nieces and nephews
Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Donald C. Purvis on Sunday, July 17, 2016, 2 to 6 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Tim A. Lindsey, II, on Monday, July 18, 2016, 10 a.m., in Life Line Baptist Church, 11387 N. Slideoff Road, Camby.
