Donald D. Mansfield, Jr., 71, Mooresville, passed away November 30, 2018, with his family by his side. Don was born July 22, 1947, in Pana, Illinois, to the late Donald D. Mansfield, Sr. and Elizabeth J. (Beaman) Mansfield.
Don graduated from Mooresville High School in 1965. A lifelong banker, Don enjoyed a 40-year career at Citizens Bank, retiring in 2010 as Executive Vice President. He was a charter-member of the Mooresville Kiwanis Club, member of the Mooresville Lions Club, past president of the Mooresville Chamber of Commerce, and past president of the Mooresville Jr. Football League. Don was an avid golfer and also enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, and boating. Don was one who believed in celebrating life and living life to its fullest. Above all, family was the ultimate in Don’s life. He will be fondly remembered for his great smile and being a man of fine character.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bryce Mansfield; sister, Martha J. Mansfield; a nephew, Ricky Hughes, III.
Survivors include his wife, Janice (Spaulding) Mansfield, to whom he was united in marriage October 26, 1969; daughter, Leslie (Greg) Stockton of Noblesville; sister, Kathi Mansfield of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Grant (Abby) Stockton and Audrey Stockton; great grandchild, Jenna Stockton; a host of nieces and nephews; his faithful canine companion, Sydney.
Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Don Mansfield, Wednesday December 5, 2018, 3 to 7 p.m. at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory. Rev. Terry Crist will officiate the memorial service at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 6, 2018.
