Donald Eugene Huntsman

Donald Eugene Huntsman, 79, Mooresville, passed away January 18, 2021. Mr. Huntsman was born August 17, 1941, in Muncie, to the late Arthur Bradie Huntsman and Hesterine (Minix) Weakly. He married Donna (Olston) on May 24, 1969, and she survives.

Don attended Ben Davis High School and proudly served in the United States Navy. He was employed at Schwitzer Corporation for 23 years and retired as a maintenance welder. He was then with Riley Tar & Chemical for 16 years as a maintenance mechanic, retiring in 2001. Don was a 50-year member of Bridgeport Masonic Lodge #162, Scottish Rite, and the Murat Shrine. A strong family man, he enjoyed traveling, walking, and bird watching. Never one to turn down a cold Miller Lite, Don was also a proud American - always honorable, faithful, and hard working. He will be fondly remembered by his loving family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step brother, Douglas L. Clark.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Donna; children, Diane (Scott) Hite and Donald E. (Hilda) Huntsman, II; brother, Charles Wayne (Alberta) Huntsman; grandchildren, Carrissa; Bradie, Reece, Cooper, and Lucas.

Friends and family will gather Sunday, January 24, 2021, 2 to 5 p.m., at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. Additional visitation will be Monday, January 25, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a service at 11 a.m. Those attending will be required to wear a mask and practice physical distancing in an effort to create a safe environment.
