Donald G. Petty

Donald G. Petty, 68, Martinsville, died November 11, 2016. Mr. Petty was born May 26, 1948, in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, to the late Cecil and Berniece (Hall) Petty.

Mr. Petty attended Washington High School in Indianapolis and proudly served in the United States Army. He worked for Lilly Industries and Valspar for 30 years, retiring in 2003. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Above all, his family was most important in his life. Don's memory will be cherished by his loving family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy; brothers, Glendal R. Petty, Sr. and Rondal Petty.

Survivors include his son, Jason Petty (Reba) of Paragon; daughter, Sharon Thompson of Monrovia; brother, Wendell Petty (Carla) of Indianapolis; six grandchildren, Cassie, Garrett, Samantha, Shelden, Jacob and Torey; four great grandchildren, Waylon, Damien, Dominic and Remi.
