Doris C. Laughman

Doris C. Laughman, 77, of Mooresville, passed away February 24, 2013, in Community Hospital South. She was born October 19, 1935, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late Richard Wayne and Gladys O. (Spitler) Miller.

Doris graduated from North Ridge High School in Ohio. She was a proud homemaker that truly enjoyed raising and caring for her family. She was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Mooresville. In her spare time, Mrs. Laughman enjoyed playing skip-bo, solitaire on the computer, and making blankets and throws.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Glenn, Carl, and Violet Miller.

Survivors include her loving husband, George Laughman of Mooresville; children, Lora Wetherbee of Mooresville, Kerry Layne Laughman of Port Clinton, Ohio, Brian Laughman of Mooresville, and Melanie Lynn Teal of Fishers; siblings, Marvin Miller of Englewood, Florida, Terry Miller of Middleville, Ohio, Roger Miller of Dayton, Ohio, and Rita Hill of Zenia, Ohio; 11 grandchildren.

Visitation will be observed from 3 to 7p.m., Wednesday, February 27, 2013, in the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 2, 2013, in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3471 Old State Road 144, Mooresville. Elder Jack Hubbard will officiate the services.
