Dorothy Jones Mazza

Dorothy Jones Mazza, 90, Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Indianapolis, died May 23, 2012. Mrs. Mazza was born July 16, 1921, in Indianapolis, to the late Zeno and Gertrude (Russell) Fry.

She worked in bookkeeping for Kroger for a number of years. Mrs. Mazza enjoyed ballroom dancing and spending time socializing with people. She loved sports and also working crossword puzzles. She will be missed by a loving family and friends in the Midwest and in Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Jones and her second husband, Louis Mazza; sisters, Virginia Zimlich, Martha Worrell, and Wilma Sachs.

Survivors include her daughter, Claudia Fisher and her husband, Bob, of Martinsville; sister, Betty Reed of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Pam Boyd, Mike Fisher, and Tamara Mauck; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.

Rev. Dennis Payton will officiate the 10 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
