Douglas Eugene Adams

Douglas Eugene Adams, 61, Indianapolis, died February 8, 2013, at his residence. He was born September 14, 1951, in Indianapolis, to the late James and Glendora (Smith) Adams.

Mr. Adams graduated from Eminence High School and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for 31 years for the Indiana Department of Transportation, retiring as a foreman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Butch Adams.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Pleake Adams; children, Daniel Adams and Misty Long; brothers, Jim, Bud, Larry, Bill, Sam, Ed, and Dan Adams; sisters, Sandy Decker, Sue Hastings, and Brenda Barnhill; one grandchild, Sage Long.

Private services were observed on Monday, February 11, 2013. According to Mr. Adams' wishes, cremation took place at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville.
