Douglas S. Kitchen, 60, of Mooresville, passed away on November 15, 2021, at home, surrounded by his family. Douglas was born on June 29, 1961, in Lebanon Indiana.
Douglas also served in the United States Army. Douglas worked as a machine repair engineer at Meritor for the last 11 years and also worked at Navistar for 18 years before the factory closed down. Many of Douglas’s hobbies Included building and working on anything with motors, but mostly mustangs and Harley Davidsons. Douglas also loved his “Big Hair Band Rock Music” and enjoyed the outdoors and anything to do with nature and animals.
Douglas is preceded in death by his father Phil Felix.
He is survived by his mother, Susan Felix; wife of 22 years, Sharon “Babie” Kitchen; son, Jake (Kaitlin) Kitchen; daughter, Stevie and (Tony) Cooper; sister, Catherine Wagner; brother, Mark Felix; grandchildren, Ethan Jay Kitchen, Penelope Jane Kitchen, Branna Cooper, and Wesley Cooper.
Family and friends will gather for Douglas’s Life Celebration™ visitation on Thursday, November 18 from 4-8pm at Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with service Friday November 19, 2021, beginning at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bethesda Cemetery, Mooresville.
