Dwight Richard 'Rick' Barlow, 59, died Wednesday morning at his home in Indianapolis, following a long illness.
The son of Barbara Nevis Barlow of Mooresville and the late Kenneth Barlow, he was born in Indianapolis on October 25, 1953.
He was a graduate of Mooresville High School.
An auto mechanic, he owned Barlow Automotive in Mooresville until forced to retire due to his health.
He had been a go-kart and sprint car racer.
Surviving besides his mother are a daughter, Kelsey Barlow of Indianapolis; two sons, Cody Barlow of Indianapolis and Nicholas Barlow; three sisters, Cheryl Edwards of Mooresville, Jeri O'Neal of Greenfield and Robin Barlow of Indianapolis.
Services are being held privately. Cremation will take place at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rich Vogler Memorial Scholarship Foundation, www.richvoglerscholarship.org/.
