E. Marie Boles

E. Marie Boles, 91 of Mooresville, passed away December 12, 2016 at her Son-In-Law’s residence in Mooresville. Born in Knox County, Kentucky on May 11, 1925, Marie was the daughter of Henry and Sarah (Lawson) Burnett; her parents preceded her in death. On June 10, 1946, Marie was united in marriage to her loving husband, Alvin Edward Boles; he preceded her in death.

Marie was a homemaker for most of her life and attended Gracepoint Church in Whiteland. She enjoyed working outside, gardening and mowing the grass.

Along with her parents and her husband, Marie was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Keown; siblings, Troy Burnett, Chester Burnett, Robert Burnett, Kate Cottingham, Eva Mae Cheek, Matilda Smith, Maudie Fouty, Betty Brock and infant sister, Ruth Burnett.

Survivors include her son-in-law, Robert “Bob” Keown (Fiance: Mary Ann Smithson) of Mooresville; granddaughter, Polly Keown of Mooresville; sister, Juanita (Don) Fishel of Clayton; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Marie Boles from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Carlisle-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mooresville Cemetery.
