Earl J. Stuart, 92, Mooresville, passed away peacefully at home on August 24, 2023. Mr. Stuart was born January 17, 1931, in Saffell, Arkansas, to the late Clarence and Myrtle (Huskey) Stuart. He married Virginia (Barker) 75 years ago, and she survives.
Mr. Stuart was employed at the Allison Division of General Motors as a machine operator for 37 years before retiring. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Stuart was a talented guitarist and took great pride in taking care of his home, working in his garage, and keeping his vehicles immaculate. If you were lucky enough to be a neighbor of Earl's, you could be assured of his friendship and a helping hand. Earl's memory will be forever cherished by a loving family and many friends.
In addition to his parents, Earl is preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Allen. Survivors include his loving wife, Virginia; son, Mark Stuart; daughters, Debra (Roger) Caperton and Jeannie White; grandchildren, Chad Caperton, Zachary White, and Andrea White; great-grandchildren, Kyah Caperton, Everly Caperton, Collin Caperton, and Lila Caperton; and great-great-grandson, Greyson Brown.
Earl’s Life Celebration® visitation and funeral service will be held at the Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, 39 East High Street, Mooresville. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 12 Noon to 2 p.m., with services following at 2 p.m. Cremation will follow at the Morgan County Crematory, Mooresville.
