Effie Dolen

Effie (Beck) Dolen, 95, Mooresville, passed away March 5, 2018. Mrs. Dolen was born July 3, 1922 to the late Earl and Ida (Phillips) Beck. She married the late Al Dolen, Jr. on September 19, 1941.

Effie graduated from Clayton High School and worked at William H. Block Company for 30 years. Effie enjoyed the outdoors; she loved flower gardening and going to the park for walks. Mrs. Dolen, most of all, enjoyed spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. Effie will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Herbert Beck.

Survivors include her children, Toby (Christy) Dolen of Mooresville and Laraine (Frank) Bush of Zionsville; a sister, Helene Crum of Indianapolis; four grandchildren, Jill Gray, Kitty Taylor, Kara (Roger) Salazar, David (Daniela) Bush; and six great grandchildren, Devin (Samantha) Gray, Grace Taylor, Dylan Salazar, Alan Salazar, Sofia Bush, Valentina Bush.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate the life of Effie Dolen from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory.
