Eileen Cameron Mason

Eileen Cameron Mason, 92, of Camby, passed on Monday, September 30, 2024 at Cumberland Trace in Plainfield. She was born in Glasgow, Scotland on March 3, 1932 to the late Archibald McIlwraith and Elizabeth (Cameron) McIlwraith.

She worked as an assembly line worker for General Motors in the Packard Electric Division in Warren, Ohio. Of Christian faith, she worshipped at Bazetta Christian Church in Cortland, Ohio. She was an avid golfer and was proud to have achieved a hole in one! She also enjoyed bowling and traveling often visiting her relatives all over the world. Eileen lived in Ohio for many years until she suffered a fall in 2018. She then moved to be near her sons, Archibald and David, so they could help care for her.

She leaves behind her loving family including her sons, John Mason of Surprise, Arizona, Archibald Ross Mason of Camby, Indiana, and David C. Mason of Camby, Indiana and sisters, Else McKay of Terrace Bay, Ontario, Canada and Jean Rome of Fergus, Ontario, Canada. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John McIlwraith and sister, Betty Grey.

Eileen’s earthly remains have been cremated. There will be memorial service at a later date. Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory has been entrusted with the cremation arrangements.
