Eleanor Wyatt Miller, 92, of Mooresville previously of Plainfield, peacefully passed from this life on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at the Meadow Lakes of Mooresville. She was born in Davistown, Pennsylvania on January 10, 1932, to the late Florentine Smith and Beatrice (Fetty) Smith. 

She is a 1949 graduate of Claybatelle High School and continued her education attending Cincinnati Bible Seminary and Centralia Junior College. For many years, she taught at the School for the Blind in Indianapolis. Of Christian faith, she was an active member of the Plainfield Christian Church where she served in the music ministry. She was a choir director in several places and also taught piano and voice. Additionally, Eleanor was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Indiana State Teachers Association. Artistically inclined, she enjoyed oil painting and sculpturing.

Eleanor married the love of her life, Thomas H. Wyatt, on June 29, 1951. They had enjoyed forty-five years of marriage when he passed in 1996. She later married Hollis Miller on May 10, 2007, and the couple was blessed with over fourteen years of companionship before he passed away in December of 2021. 

She is survived by family and friends including her son, Stephen (wife, Clarissa) Wyatt of Phoenix, AZ; daughter, Deborah (husband, John) Willis of Centralia, IL; eight grandchildren, Christie Heller of Newburgh, IN, Matthew Willis of Marshall, IL, Sarah Baum of Siloam Springs, AR, Andrea McGrue of Peoria, AZ, Joshua Wyatt of Anthem, AZ, Jason Stemm of Herrin, IL, and Aimee Branch of Fairview Heights, IL; and nineteen great grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, Isaiah, Nolan, Jacob, Maxwell, Jacob, Kenzie, Khristion, Jeremiah, Ethan, Elias, Jenna, Cade, Kendyll, Addison, Avery, McKenna, and Jaelyn.

She was preceded in death by her father, Florentine Smith; mother, Beatrice Easterday; daughter, Rebekah Stemm; sisters, Wilma Harvey and Viola Smith; and granddaughter, Jessica Zvaifler.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, August 6th from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory in Mooresville. She will be laid to rest at a later date in Beverly Hills Cemetery in Morgantown, West Virginia.
