Elizabeth Ellen “Betsy” Brake, 58, of Mount St. Joseph Lake Zurich, IL formerly of Indianapolis, passed away April 9, 2018 at Journey Care Hospice, surrounded by her family. Betsy was born on December 1, 1959 in Indianapolis, IN to the late William Brake and Ellen Agnes (Barton) Brake, who survives.
Betsy was an active member of St Joan of Arc, while she lived in Indianapolis. She lived life to the fullest, and will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a nephew; Brendan Brake.
Left to cherish her memory is her mother; Ellen Agnes (Barton) Brake; siblings, Mary Ann (Bob) Plagge, Meg (Pete) Kerber, Dennis (Kathy) Brake, Eileen Brake, Patrick (Pam) Brake, Cathy (Joe) Trotta; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 15th from 2-4pm at Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, 740 E. 86th Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday April 16th at 10am at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 4217 Central Ave. Entombment will follow the Mass in Calvary Cemetery, Indianapolis.
