Eugene Bach
87, of Mooresville, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2017 surrounded by his family. Eugene was born on January 5, 1930 in Letcher County, Kentucky to the late Samuel Bach and Nora (Boggs) Bach.
Gene was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. After service, he married the love of his life, Oma (Caudill) Bach on September 12, 1950 and they recently celebrated their 67th Anniversary together! He worked as an upholsterer for many years. He was known for his restoration work on many classic cars, including a number owned by the Indianapolis 500 Museum. He was a member of the Early Ford V8 Club, and served as a judge for several cars shows over the years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping with his family in his younger years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings and two sons; Larry Bach and Robert “Bob” Bach.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years; Oma (Caudill) Bach, son; Pastor Chuck Bach, daughters; Terry Locke, Pam Kern, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held Friday Dec. 15th at 1:00pm at Carlisle- Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with visitation from 11:00am until the services at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eugene’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
